There are a few individuals who think that they are protecting their client base by keeping them in the dark when in actuality they are just keeping themselves in the dark. People are going to surf the net and you can not stop them. If you have a good service and present it in an appealing manor with good current content you will get your share of the market.

There are ways to give the viewer content, let them see other sites and keep them on you site. Give me a viewer and let me have the first and last shot and I will get my share. If you miss after this technique you would probably miss anyway. If you don't know how I will show you later.

Look at the numbers. Link for a link, "targeted links", people looking for your product or service. Example: 100 links, you send 10 of your visitors, they send 10 of their visitors. This doesn't take a rocket scientist, 10 x 100 = 1000, you sent ten that were just surfing anyway. So maybe you lost one or two that you might have had. Your competitors just gave you the exposure to a thousand new potential customers that probably would never of found you plus our normal site traffic that came here to find your type of service in the first place. The site generates more traffic than you send plus the traffic from other sites. This works and the numbers don't lie. But of course if you have a poor site with no content and give poor service you probably had better just try to keep what you have because they will probably be leaving soon.

So, if I find a site that has targeted traffic looking for my service or product do I want to hide and stick my head in the sand or do I want my share of the action?

When they close all the windows that you have opened for them who is left, you got it, you are still there for the last shot. So get your head out of the sand.
